Alexander Vinnik’s lawyer Arkady Bukh revealed the details of the Russian’s transit in a conversation with RT.
“We are talking about internal transit – the transfer of my client from one organization to another, be it the migration service, transport agents or the Office of Federal Marshals,” the lawyer said.
According to him, there is no communication with the detainee during such procedures, and data on his movement is also not disclosed to his relatives or lawyers.
Buch explained that such a system is “specially created to ensure security.”
Marina Silkina, a lawyer and specialist in international law, told RT that the possible exchange of Alexander Vinnik was a diplomatic breakthrough in relations with the United States.
Alexander Vinnik was detained in Greece in 2017 at the request of Washington, the states charged him with crypto fraud.
