U.S. court indicted in ‘export case’.

On October 22, Russian citizen Viktoria Klebanova, arrested in the United States in the “export case,” was charged with illegal export of high-tech electronics to the Russian Federation. According to RIA “Novosti” correspondent from the courtroom of the Eastern District of New York in Brooklyn, Victoria Klebanova did not plead guilty. Three more defendants in the case – the head of Arc Electronics Alexander Fishenko, Anastasia Dyatlova, as well as Azerbaijani citizen Sevin Tagiyeva were also brought to the courtroom, but they will be charged a few hours later, as they have requested free lawyers. A fourth Russian citizen also arrested in the case, Alexander Posobilov, has yet to be transferred from Houston to New York. “Judge Sterling Johnson recognized the case as a complex one. This means it will take up to 2 years for the entire process to reach a verdict,” said Arkady Bukh, Victoria Klebanova’s Lawyer Bukh. In his first motion, he asks the court to release his client under house arrest on bail, although, according to him, the prosecutor’s office insists on keeping her in custody until the punishment is determined. The Houston court earlier adopted the prosecutors’ view and did not release Viktoria Klebanova and three other Russians from detention on bail.
